Options for my worn out leather??

I have looked through this entire website looking for other members who have repaired their seats. I don't want to pay 2K for oem seat covers. My driver seat has started to tear along the perforated seams. I was wondering if anybody has had their seats reupholstered and if they can provide pics. Also interested if anyone has tried any other routes such as leather seats covers from coverking or the like, or patch repair jobs. I'm looking for visual options before i drop some heavy $$$. Thanks

Im in the same boat as you, my drive side bolstering is worn out. A friend told me instead of getting it it reupholstered, just get the leather painted again. Mine isnt ripped but the leather coat seams to be peeling creating a rip like visual.

I am not sure but I will look into getting the bolstering repainted rather than reupholstered.

yeah the cracks is where it all starts. Since its perforated it's not as strong as the sides. My only problems lie on the bottom seats. I've seen worse leather seats, some that sag, some that are streched out, etc, mine are just starting to rip. I'm even concidering taking it off and just having that piece redone...if possible.
