My car was in an accident and I had to have the doors replaced by a body shop that the dealer sent it to. The open door indicator was never the same. What happens is on right turns the driver door indicated that its open when driving. As a result it makes that annoying door open noise as well as unlocks all the doors automatically.

I took it back once already and they did something and it was fine for about 4 months but now its happeneing again. I think the sensor knob is extending out too much where its being hyper sensitive. Does anyone know if it can be manually adjusted by me. Anyone ever experience anything like this and fixed it? I do not want to take it again again and not have a car for 2 days only for them to temporarily fix it and after driving for another 4 months the jerks of the road will make this happen agian.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 

door needs adjustment and a door switch. they run about $30.

 

Or you can tape a nickel on the door frame where the switch makes contact.
