Coming home this evening all of a sudden I had what appeared to no power in my 06 TL. The check engine light came on. The VSA light came on. Extreamly slow acceleration. So I put the auto trans in the manual shift mode and only had 2nd & 3rd gear. Drove home at 35 mph. Each traffic light it would only go to 2nd gear and then shift only into 3rd on acceleration. At home turned the car off & back on and normal gearing came back but the check engine light is still on. It only has 42k miles and the Acura dealer did a tranny flush at 38k. What gives?? Thanks

 

most likely ur transmission is gone...sorry for the bad news. u can try changing the pressure switch sensors but its a very slim chance. bring it to the dealer, maybe they can do a warranty repair on it

 

Pull the code from the computer. Just about any auto parts stores will let you use a OBD II reader for free. It could be the APP or something easier.

In any case, know what the car is telling you. Read the code.

accelerator pedal position sensor. There's a DIY on here on how to fix it easily and replace it. Go to your local autozone/car shop and they should be able to get the code for the Check Engine Light for free.
