The reading drops in full 10% increments (and not 1% at a time).

Thus, it can literally go from 90% to 80% in one mile.

How much oil you "burn" (probably none) has nothing whatsoever to do with the oil life algorithms that result in the oil life display.

They may have forgotten to reset the indicator- its a DIY

The lifespan should equal 7500 miles of normal driving- on average
synthetic oil you can go longer
New filter at halfway point good insurance

If its like gen2- we put key in ignition- push and hold both trip reset buttons and turn the key to ON- that resets the oil minder
Yours should be similar idea

The TL has a sensory system that can sense the way you drive. So if one drives crazy and fast, their oil change indicator will come on sooner, usually within 3k miles. But if one drives slow like me, then it may go on for about 5 or 6 thousand miles before the indicator may come on. Moda, no need to worry, like Harddrivin says, it's the increments, that's why it went from 90% to 80%.

One big factor in the calculator is drive time. If you do lots of very short trips, the percentage is going to go down much faster, probably faster than if you drive hard for longer distances.

Welcome to AZ.

The MID reset issue shows up often, so the mods put directions into the 3G Garage:
https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...73&postcount=4.

A search for "maintenance display reset" would likely find threads leading to the directions as well.
