Odd electrical issue

Hey , I would search this but I’m not sure which of my symptoms to actually search.. let’s start with what I was doing when I noticed the problem .. I was running my remote turn on wire for my sub and I tapped it into my glove box 12v plug while I was in there I changed the glove box light to an led, I went to turn the headlight stalk on (with the car off) to see if the bulb was in correctly and is on none of my lights turned on not 1 dash light and not any exterior light.. I figured this was odd so I finally started the car and tested the same and everything turned on (including the initial project of wiring my amp turn on) but now this is where things were getting odd, while the car is running the HVAC display does not show up and the window defrost is on full blast ( can’t shut it off hvac display and buttons are unresponsive) .. additionally the lock and unlock switch both on the door and the key fob do not work while the key is off but does while the key is on ... if this has confused you I will shorten it ..

basically ..
while the car is off it seems as if it were dead, (dome lights w/ door switch, door locks, headlights, MID does not recognize the key.. all don’t work)

while the car is started all the above work but now there is the addition to the HVAC controls and display are unresponsive, the HVAC fan works and is on full blast on defrost and can not be shut off and the clock is lit but has no display

any help will be greatly apppreciated

Meh, check fuse #4 in the under hood fuse box. You may have blown it.

Try unplugging your wires and see if it changes things

Fuse 4 (10A) in the under hood (not the under dash) box? If so, replace it anyway. I've seen plenty of situations where the OP said the fuse was fine, but it was indeed blown.

Figured it out!!

So I started poking around and testing fuses and low and behold it was a fuse .. specifically fuse #7 in the interior fuse box

its labeled “backup” no idea why, my reverse lights worked so it had nothing to do with that..

on A side note just an FYI I temporarly replaced #7 fuse with #6 (interior lights) and came to find out that #6 doesn’t not only control interior lights but it also controls the remote lock and unlock system because once I pulled this one to use in #7 I couldn’t lock and unlock my car with the remote .. once it was replaced with a new fuse it worked flawlessly .. thanks everyone for the help
