OBD II Scanners
Has anyone purchased their own OBD II scanner?
I'm in the market for one - either a standalone unit like a used Snap-on or a one that runs software on a laptop PC.
Being able to borrow a friend's Snap-on scanner saved a lot of hassle in recently diagnosing a clogged EGR valve on my '04 TL.
Thank you,

I purchased a USB to OBD-2 setup (ELMScan 5 USB) that has worked well for me the couple of times I've had to use it. Not cheap, but a useful tool to have on hand.
I got mine from www.scantool.net

Actron makes decent scanners. If your looking for the basic code reader it doesnt have to be a expensive unit. Some can be found on amazon for 40 bucks. If your looking for something to be able to read live data (not many know what or how to read it) then you will pay more
