No power assist at idle?

My steering recently seems to have no assist at idle. When I rev the engine a bit, it comes back. I have 19"s (235/40-19 tires) on my car, and I can just hear the dealer blaming it on the wheels. Anyone else have this problem?

Fluid Level?
If not, point out to the dealer that the contact patch is actually smaller.
Your tires are a larger diameter with the same tread width, so the amount of tire on the ground is smaller, which should result in less friction, not more.

yea open up the hood and check the power steering fluid with a flashlight. if u have your stock wheels put them on and see if the problem persists after a few days, and if it does bring it into the stealer with the stockies.

Mine does it as well, with or without stock wheels.

I have had this happen to my Nissan Pathfinder. It so happens that everything was alright. After flushing the steering fluid with a new one the problem went away. I am guessing its probably a air bubble in the reservoir. Do a flush and refill and it should be fine.
