No heat and it's cold
I set up an appt with the dealership a few days ago, but I wanted to check to see if you guys have any ideas. I did check the heater fan fuse (I believe #20 under the hood) and it tested fine. Basically, the car only blows out cool air. It also doesn't seem like it is blowing out too incredibly strong either.
Are there any other fuses to check, or anything else I can do. It is just really cold here this weekend and I would like to see if I can get it working, in case it is something stupid.
Thanks for your help.
Mike

that was probably just the story they told you. in case anyone else has this problem....i see this quite often this time of year. there is a valve that controls the flow of coolant into the heater core. this hot engine coolant is what warms the air for your heater. after being in the closed postition all summer, sometimes the valve gets stuck. it is located on the firewall in the engine bay, just about in the middle. you will see a thin metal wire coming out of what looks like a bicycle brake line, connected to a small plastic arm. by manually moving this valve back and forth, you should be able to free the valve, which will allow the weak electric motor to resume controlling its movement.

They were probably referring to the air mixture control motor. Its located under the dash to the left of the glove box. This seems to be a common problem with our cars. At least yours was just disconnected... i think i have to replace mine, its getting cold in NY!

My car came from the factory with this exact cable crimped, apparently during factory assembly. It was fixed within a week and I've had heat ever since.
