So when i put a stethoscope to my old tensioner pulley it wasnt running smooth it had a clunky sound.

So i got a new one from Autozone. DAYCO brand.

I released the tension of the pulley, removed the belt, and then removed the pulley.

I put on the new pulley (it didnt seem like it had as much grease as the old one did) (As a matter of face it had No visible signs of grease, the only one had a blob of grease) I didnt add grease to it and installed it.

I installed a brand new belt as well.

Now 2 days later the Tensioner is moving left and right a little bit (i hear its normal)

But if i put my finger or a stethoscope to it, it has a LOUD rattle

Was it that there no grease? whats wrong?

 

What did you torque spec did you use?

Personally, if it's not making a noise I can hear with my ears, I don't give a $@#@#$
