New steering rack

Im looking to replace the rack and pinion in my 06 TL. Everytime i drive over the smallest bump the steering wheel just wobbles all over the place and when i drive over 50mph the steering feels very unsafe s if the car was floating. Uneasy feeling hard to describe. Anyways, for those who have replaced their racks, what is the best brand in terms of aftermarket options to buy a rack from? I plan on taking it to my personal mechanic and letting him do it seeing how Acura wants to charge me almost $1500 for the job

you can get it rebuild to save a bit of money. As for other brands Pick the ones with lifetime warranty because most of the time aftermarket parts dont last long.

I got it from Acura and I got charged $1000. At the time it made sense. Car had steering rack issues a year later and was replaced under warranty. The part itself OEM is 400 bucks.

Before you go ahead and buy it have a mechanic check if the bolts holding the rack need to be checked.

I would take a look at the compliance bushings that are prone to failure.
