New to me 08 Type S part numbers and part source

Hi folks, I just bought a beautiful TL type S that was in a minor accident and completely repainted. It has 192k miles on it and needs a plethora of maintenance brought up to date. After reading the forum a bit I've come to find that alot of the type S parts have different numbers and are not interchangeable with the base. So far I've ordered a timing belt kit which should be interchangeable as well as a tensioner with idler pulley. I'm nosing around trying to find a list of type s suspension parts numbers, looking for ball joints, control arms, pretty much anything for this car to do with suspension and ride quality. Can anyone give me a point in the right direction to pick up the right parts I would greatly appreciate it. I intend on getting this beautiful sports sedan in like new condition as the outside and inside are an easy 9/10 which is pretty rare.

Fresh to me

Lovin it

Also, any esoteric things to check or maintain that you folks know of would be appreciated. I'm no stranger to turning a wrench and I believe I hear a belt tensioner going bad so I'm driving it sparingly at the moment. once the whole vehicle is up to snuff stock I'm going to move towards performance, any recommendations on things to do while I do the timing belt kit here soon?

OEM suspension components if you want the original ride quality. As far as the TB service just make sure get your oil pump assembly reseal as well and that require of removing the J pipe and dropping oil pan.

I like restoration thread as I have 2 of my own lmao.

Good stuff, if exhaust components have to come off it's time to pull out the voodoo juice (trans fluid & acetone), you have a link perhaps to an oil pump reseal thread? Or the resto.

There is no DIY thread on the oil pump assembly reseal, its can be found in the service manual tho. The TL transmission is not sealed and still have a dip stick so you can drain and fill whenever you like lol.

I need a good source for lower control arms and ball joints, specifically for the type s. Also I hear people have alot of problems getting the proper axles, good source for those too?

Lower Control Arms
- multiple Acura dealers on here that sell at a discount (acuraoemparts.com, oemacuraparts.com, Bernardi, and others)
- rockauto is another good source...usually not OEM...depends on the part
- Amazon...sometimes hit or miss on pricing being better...usually pricing isn't "better", but shipping usually is

There have been several threads about axles in the past 90 days. Some people have no issues with your run of the mill autopart store axles, others have issues. Raxles is the one many talk about, but no idea on price or availability.
