New Axles After Lowering

I'm getting a really bad vibration when I accelerate after lowering my car. I'm sure it's the axles, and I was just wondering if replacing the axles will permanently fix this issue or will they go bad again pretty quick being out of OEM spec? I didn't even lower it that much and the vibration is just terrible.

I have the same exact issue with my CL-S.

Did you get coilovers or springs?

I'm running Form & Function Type 2s and the first thing I did was put it low low. Vibration started at low speeds between 2-3k RPM so I eventually upped my ride height by about a half inch; vibration went away for the most part but still noticeable under hard acceleration.

The OEM axles will last awhile at a lower ride height and proper motor mounts, really depends on how your car is setup and how hard you drive it.

How low did you drop it? 0 finger gap? 1?

I would raise it up and see if you reduce the vibration.

I plan on replacing my axles soon and I'm fairly certain it's the fix, it could very well be tires, wheel bearing, wheel balance etc ... but it wouldn't really make sense how it improves at a higher ride height & only happens under acceleration.

Hope this helps, good luck.

It's about a 2 inch drop all around. I just relaxed all the bushings the other day which lowered it about half an inch all around and did make it worse than it was at first. So if I do raise it a little it should get better but will still be there, then there's no point to have coilovers haha.

I raised it up to stock height and it went away. I'm still curious if anyone has lowered their car 2 inches or more and got new axles and how they have held up with being low?

I had the same issue and changed both axles with oem ones. The vibration was less but still there. I went ahead and changed the intermediate shaft and problem solved...I am just about maxed out on my tein coils
