sounds like your transmission is in limp mode.. hows your fluid levels? when was the last time you did any maintenance like change the pressure switches. Do a search on here for said pressure switches and you'll see a huge thread regarding it.

it's seems like it's correcting it self by goin into manual mode after the d4 stops blinking

how many miles in the last year? with these transmissions, i would do no less than 15K fluid changes.

do the pressure switches as well. Blinking D light is not a good sign.. chances are your transmission may be on its way out.

I have read this thread 5 or 6 times today....and my head still hurts trying to completely understand the symptoms and what has already been tried. So far I read that it won't shift into 5th? Something about b4 the d4 wit blink rough manual shift?

No matter what....follow the typical TL auto advice....new fluid, new pressure switches, and hope for the best. Although this issue may be a tad different and have some other electrical culprit hiding.
