Need Help to get Reimbursed form Stealership
SO I posted about a month ago when I found out I have a dent in my wheel. The dent measured 307,000th of an inch (.307). Now, the dealership said this was not covered by them and I would have to purchase a new wheel. The Acura warranty on exterior accessories includes that of alloy wheels.
My question is if I truly have a case against the dealership. I had my wheel fixed for $175, when I think the dealer shouldve picked up the cost. The car is 3 friggin months old! I've had an 01 Infiniti I30 before it, with alloy wheels and drove that thing to the ground. Going in potholes was my prerogative and NOTHING happened to it! I am pissed off now because I got a pseudo decent wheel and my tire needs to be replaced too.
Do I have a case against the dealership to have them reimburse me for the wheel repair and possibly get me a new wheel? The warranty says I'm covered. It says nothing specificalyy regarding physical abuse to the wheel.
Btw, 08 WDP and it's a lease.
Thanks!

Wheels are exposed to all kinds of road conditions and get damaged all the time. Unless you can prove that the wheel was damaged before you took delivery of the vehicle or the dent appeared because of a manufacturing defect, you have no case.
Warranties on cover repairs or replacement in the instance of failure due to a problem in the item, not due to exposure to day to day use.
Sounds to me like your up shit creek without a paddle in this case.

I'm not talking about 3-piece alloy Rays Engineering or Mag wheels here, guys! We're talkin about good 'ol OEM wheels. Don't they stand behind the workmanship of their products? 307,000th of an inch is a BIG bend! This isnt a result of a bad parking job...It's evident when you look at the wheel. There's gotta be something the dealer can do...

Let's try this: How did the wheel get bent?
If *you* did it - pot hole, curb, whatever - no way the should or will pay. Why should the dealer/Acura be responsible for road hazard? If it was a pot hole, get the city to pay.
