Need Help ASAP!!!

I've read many threads where others were having similar issue:
I have a '06 TL

The Issue: When I turn the key to start the car I will only get a click.

What I've tried so far: First I replaced the battery. It would still only click. Replaced starter, and still only click. Took the new starter back to auto parts store and had it tested. It test as good. Had them test my original starter and it also test good. Next I replaced both battery cables. The connections to the terminals are good and tight. Still get the click.

I found if i turn the key off and on a few times, the car would start.

Anyone have any ideas on what i need to check????

Does everything else go dead when it clicks? Or do the headlights and such stay fully lit?

Bad ignition switch?

Only a few AZ members have had that occur, IIRC, so it's pretty rare.

Try the alternator. Its usually the battery, starter or alternator. If you have a brand new battery, but the alternator isn't working, theres not enough juice in the battery to power the starter.

I was thinking it might be the ignition switch, but I think i only found one post about it.

If it was the alternator, wouldn't my battery die after a while? I replaced the battery 3 weeks ago.

can't be the battery.... if it was, nothing would turn on in the car, meaning lights or gauges. Has to be your starter or alternator, how bout your fuel pump???? I"m just throwing other components..
