Its has been awhile since I have been on this forum but I need help. Not really sure where to start but was driving down the hwy and smell something burning under the hood and wasnt sure where it was comming from. I finally got home and got to take a look and it looks like I have a small leak on the back side of the motor in somewhere that seems to be dripping on the exhaust manifold. What could this be? It's such a tight spot to see down there any thoughts would be helpful... 06 TL 3.2 v6 auto! Thanks in advance.....

 

Sounds like the power steering hose issue that's tied to a recall program/ immediate warranty for 3G TL's. Take it in / call the dealer asap. Could be a leak for the rear valve cover, but sounds more like the PS issue.

 

Any pics on where this hose is located. It's a very slow leak, no spots on the ground or anything like that. I will for sure be contacting the dealer. My car has 108k on it with no other problems what so ever.( knock on wood)

 

There was a major recall campaign for replacement of the power steering hose along with an o-ring on a separate PS hose.
Recall repairs are free, with no mileage limits.

FYI, leaking PS fluid has ignited and started fires in the rear of TL engine compartments in the past, so get all PS leaks repaired ASAP.
