Mysterious Coolant Leak?!?
I had my oil changed Tuesday, and the gentleman tried to sell me on a coolant flush, to which I declined. He said that it was something that needed to be done every 100,000 miles, and I'm at 180,000 (which was a bit odd in my mind).
2 days later I notice a major puddle of anti-freeze under the car. I fill it and go back to where I went for the oil change to ask if they can find a leak. I also asked the manager if he thought it was strange that I hadn't noticed a leak until after the oil change/flush decline.
The Manager let me walk down under the car (that had a huge puddle of coolant under it about 30 minutes prior), and there was NOTHING leaking. I examined it pretty closely and didn't see a single drop of anything other than typical A/C condensation.
45 minutes after that I still don't see a drop of coolant anywhere.
Seems like a water pump, any ideas on how to check that? It's very frustrating that I cant find a single drop anywhere, 30 minutes after I found a huge puddle. It's almost like it won't leak until it's been off for a long time.

check the reservoir.
then check the radiator tank.
both should be full.
the tank is pressurized and will sometimes "burp" or let some coolant out.
if tank is full. reservoir is full and no further leaks or drips on ground, you're okay and will be fine.
there is a 105k mile service. which includes timing belt, water pump. coolant should also be changed.

question is DO YOU SMELL coolant? if so, you got a leak and need to find it. A common failure is the rad cap they typically last about 10 years or so. Very rare for a Honda Radiator to leak....

Coolant flush is at 120K/10 years the first time (and/or when you get a "5" on the MID), then at 60K/5 year intervals after that. Read the placard on the underside of your hood.
Are you sure it was coolant/anti-freeze and not just A/C drain tube water?

After waiting 90 mins I found the drip. I jacked the car up and that's it hit me: I'm "special". Apparently the dude didn't tighten the oil plug enough. So basically I filled the antifreeze and drove an hour with almost no oil. I'm partially colorblind, and because it was new oil, I thought it was antifreeze. I'm a "special" dude
I'm lucky I didn't blow the motor. And don't TL's have a low oil light?
Now I go back to WTF is wrong with Mobil1?!? Now there is a huge puddle of oil in my GF's driveway, I drove an hour with no oil, and I'm going to need to buy oil just to drive for 30 mins back to get the plug tightened and new oil.
Oil.
