come on at 1/4-1/5 of a tank...i saw a TSB for an accord v6 ...just wondering if this is an easy fix...reprogramm something...pretty annoying

thats how they all are now, sometimes it will let me get down to about an eighth of a tank before it comes on...

if it is coming on when you have more than 1/4 of a tank something might not be working right, but i've noticed they come on a lot earlier in newer cars

 

I used to have a v6 accord that had the fuel light come on early. 1/4 tank. I took it in and it was a tsb that said the MTBE in the fuel broke down the rubber in the fuel level sending unit and closed the circuit for the fuel warning light too early. They replaced it with a newly designed unit and it worked fine since.
