My 05 TL won't start

Got my TL last November so it's barely a year old, driving home today and stop by the gas station for gas, then it wouldn't start. Called roadside assistance and got it jumped. Now it's sitting at the dealers for the weekend I've owned about 8 cars thus far, both foreign and domestic, and I've never had one conked out on me in a little over a year, until now. Congratulation to Acura. Now I've got to wait to see if it's just a defective battery or if something's wrong with the electrical system.

There were quite a few folks who had bad starters, but that might have been on the 06's. If you describe what you hear/happens, we could probably tell you....

About 3 weeks ago my 05 TL "conked" out on me too. I had two suspicions. I read alot about the TSB regarding the Navi draining power and the other TSB about Acura getting a bad batch of defective batteries. I was really hoping that it was not the Navi draining power issue because I did not want the dealer taking apart my dash to fix the problem. Fortunately, the dealer found that it was a defective battery. They replaced it 100% with no out of pocket. Hopefully yours is a defective battery as well.

On my '05, it happpened to be a bad fuse box after a year and 2 months. Didn't find that out until swapping out new battery and getting several jumps until it wouldn't take the jump any more.

Got my car back the next day, turned out to be a defective battery. Hopefully that'll take care of it.

Help!

Is this a battery problem or the starter? I put my key in tonight, and when I try to turn the engine there's a fast-pulse clicking sound, but there's no turning sound... the console lights doesn't seem to dim. I had a dead battery in other cars before, and they should at least turn, then lose power turning (pitch gets lower and lower). Please help!

My guess is battery- there are quite a few posts here about bad batteries after 2 years (warranty may apply, but aftermarket battery is purportedly better).

Yeah my warranty is just out (50,8?? miles). Oh well, I guess I'll be picking up a red top today to put in.

A little over a year is awfully short to have to replace a battery.
