Metal on Metal rattling noise at 2000 rpms
So I have noticed I have a very annoying noise at 2000 rpms (plus or minus a few). Its like metal on metal, coming from passenger side of engine is what it sounds like. only when driving too.
any ideas?

Could be a loose heat sheild - there's a TSB.
Could be valve chatter. Or could be pinging, which is sometimes thougt to be valve chatter. There is a big pinging thread just down the page in this sub-forum.

does it sound like vibrations? like a BRRR BRRR sound?
if so, I have it as well at 2k RPM.
as mentioned it could be a heat shield.
I also have an exhaust leak from the manifold and pre-cat. Will replace the pre-cat with PCD's and use a new gasket. will update you.
