Metal grinding noise from front driver side

A couple of days ago, I started hearing this high pitched, metal grinding noise coming from the driver side, with the window down. Yesterday, when I lightly touch the brake, i hear this screeching sound that sounds like the indicator is hitting the rotor, but not when I'm really on the brake. I've been playing with it a bit to find out more and I noticed that when I put load onto the front left (braking and turning to the right, or just turning right carrying some speed), the noise becomes more pronounced. I thought it could be the ball joint, but shouldn't that sound more squeaky?

Any feedback is appreciated!

Turned out to be a seized rear caliper. Though my mileage didn't drop much and there was no pull...

I had the exact same problem.
Sound would go away when I applied the brakes.

Replace that caliper!

That's why I was confused. Firmly pressing the brake pedal will cause the sound to go away. It's fixed. Thanks!
