Manual v/s Automatic Instrument Cluster

I have a 06 MT TL in which the information center in the instrument cluster has gone dead. Instead of paying an exorbinate amount of money to the dealership, I have found a cluster from a salvage yard that has mileage very close to my cluster, but it is out of an automatic TL. I was wondering if any of you out there know if I could use the automatic cluster in my manual TL? Any help or direction on this would be highly appreciated.

You cannot use it because it is different like said above the auto tells you what gear you are in.

I mistyped above....I have an 04 and not an 06. I've been out of warranty for about 10000 miles.

You might be able to get Acura to goodwill the cluster as that is an expensive/important part of the car.....
