Major or Minor Brake problem

So, I just changed my oil today went to synthetic...GREAT!, but now, not a few hours later I'm going somewhere and my rear brakes (or what i am assuming are my brakes started absolutley screaming!!!!) so on the way home to try and dianose whats going on, i go to press the brake pedal and it feels like theres no resistance at all the brake pedal went all the way to the floor!, so am i in deep here, maybe just need new pads or in all of your experience am i in deeper than that!, please help, is this something i can fix in my garage quickly?, or do i need to get it to a dealer?

thanks in advance

If the pedal went to the floor.....not good. Low/worn out pads aren't going to cause the pedal to drop to the floor. Check the fluid level at the master cylinder to see if low. If low look for leak, calipers, lines, master cylinder. Look through the wheels at the rotors for any grooves.

one of your rear caliper slides is locked up causing the soft brake pedal. the noise sounds like the wear indicator scraping the rotor.
