Lower control Arm Bushings

My 2005 TL has been driving like crap, and today I was told by Mr. mechanic that my front arm bushings are torn. I need to replace them as soon as possible because the tear has caused uneven wears to my tires. Is it better to get the OEM parts or will aftermarket ones be fine? Thank you very much.

Well pretty easy answer the aftermarket bushings are a way better material and will last a lot longer. I bought mine from HeelToe and was very impressed on the quality when compared to OEM.

I highly doubt that torn LCA bushings are the cause of your tire wear.

Exactly what aftermarket bushings did you have in mind?

Plenty of info about the LCA bushing issues in this thread:

I would think that worn or torn compliance bushings could cause unwanted toe change that would not only mess with the handling but have impact on tire wear. I cannot see that the tire wear would be the main concern, but may be an offshoot issue.

PS, these are called COMPLIANCE bushings. It just helps to get the nomenclature right for clarity.

nfn the aftermarket parts on offer from us are these spherical bearing pieces:
Fastline Performance Compliance Bearings by PCI, 2004-08 Acura TSX / TL TL-S - HeelToe Automotive

Read more about them here:

The last update there was on 11/12/12, but I still have them in the car running strong!
