Lost low end power!

Hello

I think I know what may be the cause of this but just wanting to be 100% sure. For the past 2 months I have been putting supreme gas in my TL and the performance is great! Gets up and goes as normal. My dad had to borrow my car yesterday and filled it up to half a tank. I get my car back today and it feels alot different driving normal and getting on it. Turns out he filled it up with unleaded. It doesnt have the pep that it did with the supreme. Seems to lag a bit when stepping on it which it didnt do when i was using supreme. My main concern is it is very noticable and i would like to know if this is the cause. Like I said, before it ran GREAT! Thanks.

Thanks.
So this most likely is the case then? I do tend to have a lead foot sometimes and thats when i notice the loss.

just refill it with premium next time and your car will be fine.

Alright, one more thing is i installed the DC Sports CAI 2 days ago. But then again it ran fine like it is supposed to with the supreme. It all started after the unleaded. I just didnt think it made a difference like it did. But i will be refilling it tomorrow with supreme and reseting the ECU.

I ended up reseting my ECU by unplugging the fuses. After this my car was back to normal. I read around and people say after adding any sort of performance mod (CAI) that you need to reset your ECU. So I did and TL is back to normal.

It's not normal, resetting the ECU just temporarily offset the change in gas. It will be back if you do not put 91/93 Octane back in the tank.

And I wouldn't count a CAI as a performance mod, but a noise maker.
