Loose Steering Wheel?

Hello fellows, i need little helps regarding my 05 TL auto.

The steering wheel used to be tight and heavy. it was very steady driving in the highway. However, it becomes sort of loose lately and i can turn it easily. There's no loud noise but just a feel that it's not tight as more when i turn the steer wheel. There are lots snow in the NE over the last couple weeks and the temperature is freezing point most of the time. not sure if that contributed to the problem.

anyone experiences something similar before or know the cause of it? Thanks

Usually that is normal over time. Not sure what causes it though.

When was the last wheel alignment, and any abnormal wheel impacts since then?
Front wheel alignment can affect steering feel a bit, as can suspension issues.

last alignment was about two years ago. is it necessary to do an alignment annually?

i dont recall hitting any pothole or big bumps. i know the LCA is ripped and not sure that contributes to the looseness.

Get an alignment (all four wheels).

While the car is in the shop for an alignment, have the place check your steering rack and other suspension pieces too. Get back to us after the alignment, especially if the steering is still too light.
