loose change

I move my coin holder to the designated door spot and everything fits perfectly... except for the coins

everytime i'd open or close my door, the coins can't seem to stay in the slots and fly off and fall into the bottom of the compartment.

i am thinking of writing to the u.s. mint and ask them to make the coins to fit the acura tl's coin holder better

Imo the door pocket is the worst place to put the coin holder, the coins always fall out and it also produces an annoying rattle for me. Much easier to keep it in the center console.

I pretty much have my right arm permanently planted on the center arm rest, while my left arm does everything else. including reaching down to the door slot and hand out coins to the cashiers.

there is no doubt the coin holder performs 300% times better in its center console location; however i find the motion of reaching in there for the coins unnatural, along with the extra steps of sliding the armrest back and lifting it.

that's why i so excited to find that i have the flexibility of putting the coin holder in the door slot, so that i can smoothly retreive my coins in a one arm, one motion operation.

Uhhm, yeah, except for that whole coins falling out and rattling around inside the door pocket thing.

How's that working out for you?

I put my coins in the little holder at the front of the door compartment. They seem to stay in there okay. And, they are easy to get to.

Try filling the coin holder, so the springs are fully compressed. Friction between the coins and the top of the coinholder should keep the coins from moving out.

I think OP is using the coinholder placed in the door compartment, but the coins slide/pop out of the coinholder.

I gave up on it anywhere in the car. It's shite. I use a zip-loc sandwich bag for coins and stow it in the center armrest lower compartment. Since I don't need coins frequently it's fine. Holds all my quarters for the coin-op sprayer in the winter months.

at first i thought i was overfilling the slots and the coins are being squeezed out by the springs... but any amount of coins results in coins flying out...

I've given up on it as well, i have some coins floating about on the bottom of the door compartment, and a few still hanging on in the coin holder

Yes, I realize that. I was just stating that I keep my coins in the little tray in front of the door side pocket. Works for me.

ahhh, yes... the little littler pocket that's padded; i keep my pennies there and it's fine as long as it's just a few.

Plastic rectangle with 3 spring-loaded columns for coin storage which slots into the front of the small top armrest compartment or towards the rear of either front door map pocket.

OP tweeder: you may just need a new coin holder-- less than $10, IIRC.

Uhmmm, I think Will means your coin holder might be shot or defective. A new one might work better.

Most of the other stuff was in good fun. No offense intended.
