Little Scratch

Hey,

I have a small scratch on the left side of my rear bumper, dont know where it came from, but its bothering the f*ck out of me. Its pretty deep, it went right through the paint and I believe thats the raw plastic behind it, a black color. Well, anyway, I want to get rid of it without having to buy a new bumper. My past experiences with the pen on other cars havent been to my liking, its real noticable with the pen, like it stands out. Anyone have any idea how to make it blend in good, or at least half way decent? I just wanna get rid of the stupid scratch!! Thanks in advance.

The best way to fix any scratch that deep is to sand it smooth, prime it, paint it, and then clear it, all out of spray cans. For an invisible repair I suggest using the DuPont Clearcoat Blender (www.paintworldinc.com). The blender is used to blend the edge of the repair into the surrounding area, making it invisable.

Because your particular scratch is down to the bare plastic on the bumper you will need to use some SEM Flexible Primer. This will give a flexible foundation to your finish and ensure good adhesion.

Hope this helps you out.
