License plate screw hole jammed.

I can't thread a screw into one of the license plate screw holes and I'm not sure why or what to do. I just bought my 06' TL so I don't know what might be in there or if threads are just mangled. What can be done>?

Take alook at the other corner. Haven't looked at the TL, but normally there are plastic plugs that push into the holes that will accept the screws. Right size screw?

Yea. I went to Acura dealership and they gave me the correct screws, the service guy mentioned about having to drill the hole out or something. I just don't want to do something and then never be able to get a screw in it.
