Varies from state to state

Check your state's website - they probably have info there about their Lemon Law - if the have one. Not all states do. PA has one that basically says the dealer has 3 tries to fix the same problem, and if he cannot, the case can proceed under the lemon law rules, which MIGHT lead to a refund or replacement vehicle. Some of the conditions are:
1. Must be reported during the 1st year of ownership.
2. the defect must substantially affect the value and/or safety of the vehicle.
3. The three attempts do not all have to happen in the first year, but the defect must be reported in that timeframe.

Good luck. what is the problem?

It was some years ago (1991?) but I filed under the Lemon Law in MD. Ford dismissed all of my attempts to resolve but once I hired a lawyer, they immediately settled. I believe I got full reimbursement of the purchase price minus some mileage adjustment for the mileage on the car when I FIRST reported the problem. They also paid the lawyer fees. I recall MD's law was similar to the PA summary from Dave1315. Keep a detailed log of every interaction with the dealer! I am still pissed that Ford blew me off and ended up just paying more once a lawyer called. Off the Mustang and been with Acura ever since.

Like Dave said, the lemon law varies by state.

Since your sig lists you in Texas here is the Texas Lemon Law site

lemon law

i had done research on getting my used 02 vette lemon lawed, and what i found out is that in texas it only applies to the car if you are original owner, since i bought the car when it was 1 year old i did not qualify. ALTHOUGH, from what i deciphered on the tx lemon law, it would have sucked anyways. once you have documented taking the car in for repair at least 3 times, on a "safety" issue, nothing else qualifies, then you can apply for the lemon law. They will pay you your purchase price minus a cost per mile. The way i figured it out i would have been screwed anyways because i got an awesome deal on the car to begin with there would have been no chance of replacing it unless i spent another 10k. Now i did not spend too much time researching it once i found out that i could not qualify so i could have gotten things wrong, but the basic jist of it was that you don't just get a replacement vechicle. you get purchase price minus like .40 per mile that you put on it. hope this helps.
