Knocking/vibrating noise from front right of car on acceleration???

I have spent hours reading/searching threads here and have not read of anyone having this exact problem or a fix for it.

This seems to be very prevalent the colder it is outside (temps in my area have been in the teens-low 20's). Upon light acceleration I am hearing a noise from the front of my car in the right hand floorboard to firewall area that sounds like knocking, its most common when the car is right in the 1900-2400 rpm range, it does not change with vehicle speed but is easiest to hear at lower speeds when accelerating from low speeds or from a stop since road noise is not drowning it out. It is not the engine itself making the noise, this has been confirmed by having someone rev the car with the hood open, it also will not do it by brake torquing the car (tried to duplicate it). Sometimes the sound is much louder than others but its definately annoying. I am still under warranty but wanted to do some research and go in educated as I have read countless threads about how Acura has done nothing to holp people with similar noises.

If it helps the car also does this when accelerating in reverse, I have a long fairly inclined driveway and have heard this while backing up it.

Any help from the Azine community would be much appreciated.

Have you looked at your CV boot? I had this problem with my 92 & 95 Legends. Is the noise more noticeable while turning?

When I had bad/worn-out inner CV joints I had a similar issue in some other cars I've owned.

It could also be the outer CV joint but it's more likely to make noise when the car is turning. I noticed my one outer joint is starting to "quietly click a little" when turning hard and accelerating hard.

None of the ones I mentioned above had leaking boots but if the boot is ripped, the joint will go soon too.

Reviving this old thread!

I have the exact same issue. I have Teins ss installed. Knocking sound only when I accelerate from a complete stop (or it is most audible then). Doesn't knock when I turn, or when I go over bumps.

Unfortunately, it's intermittent (perhaps mainly when the car is cold?) I've taken it to various mechanics - including the dealer. Either they aren't hearing the right thing or they are bailing out and just pointing blame at the aftermarket Teins ss.

This thread is so old - i'm wondering if the OP solved his problem, or if anyone else encounters this.

thanks!
