Was hearing this knocking sound coming from the front end on my passenger side. Last year during my yearly inspection we realized the bushings on my lower front control arms were shot so we replaced both control arms so those are brand new. Still, we hear knocking! So now we’ve gone ahead and replaced both front struts because those were old and original and from all of our research we thought finally this could be the case. Finished that up today and still we hear this damn knocking. Granted the replacement of the struts helped a little, but I also live in a development with speed bumps, and even if I just roll over the speed bump I hear the knock as if something is bouncing from the same exact spot. We are now thinking the possibility of the motor mount but can’t find a way to be sure. Please help if you have any idea!

 

Emdlinks, rack bushings, tie rods, axles ... U checked all that too?

 

if it happens when going over a speedbump then more than likely sway bar bushings and endlinks are the cause.
