Key fob won't open trunk

Hello everyone, my wife and I recently purchased an 06 TL, (my first foreign car) and so far we're absolutely loving it. The one problem I'm having is the key fob will not pop the trunk. On my fob it never worked but it worked on my wife's fob for a couple of weeks. Now neither fob is working to pop the trunk. The under dash button works fine and that's what we've been using to release the trunk. The fob works fine for locking/unlocking doors. Any suggestions on why the fob would not work for trunk?

Take Care,
Jeremy

Although it wouldn't allow only one FOB to work, make certain the switch in the glove box is set properly to allow the trunk to open when the signal is received. I believe the switch should be in the up position.

check your latch in the trunk (where it releases) and make sure it's not compromised.

also, reach through the pass through in the back seats and pull down the leather loop. you'll see it when you open the pass through door on the ceiling. see if your trunk opens when you pull that.

replace batteries in your keyfob too.
