So I've tried to set the key fob driver memory thing a couple of times on my MID ( you know like the seat,mirrors,radio presets ) and it always says something like Car must be placed in Park or Key Fob not found. Anyone know what it is? I've tried reprogramming it to the car, but still nothing. I ordered a new fob thats on the way, maybe that will work, but I'd like for them both to. Any help is appreciated

 

Does the fob unlock your doors? If it does not, it's not programmed to your car.

 

Programming the keyfob to your car, and linking the memory feature are two different things that must be done.

You can tell if your keyfob is programmed properly if the buttons on it work (lock, unlock, trunk).
You can tell if your memory feature is not linked by opening the door and see if it says "Driver 1 Detected" on the MID.

1. Must be OEM keyfob for memory to work.
2. You have to link the keyfobs, by holding down the the lock + unlock button on the remote for several seconds until the LED blinks.

Well, I've only had the car for a month, and it only came with one Key Fob. It is the OEM key fob, but I can't tell if it is Memory 1 or 2 Because it is all scratched up on the back. It unlocks and locks everything just fine .

 

When you come in your car, do you see Driver 1 or Driver 2 on the MID? IF not, you need to link it to your car. That's where you need to press LOCK + UNLOCK and hold for a few seconds until the LED flash on the fob. Then in the mid you'll be able to access driver settings.
