Just replaced starter and now my car doesn’t crank up as well.

Hey guys I’m new to posting, I use this site often to help diagnose some of the issues with my TL. I have 2005 Acura TL. My starter just went bad about a week ago and after getting my new one in I feel like my start up sounds a little sketchier. Any ideas on what this could be?

Aftermarket and rebuilt starters won't have that "Honda" sound any more.

But who cares, it starts right?

Welcome to the forums.

Since this is a topic/technical issue which will require replies and discussion, this thread has been moved from the New Member Introductions forum to the model specific forum.

Go to ebay, find LKQ online and find yourself a low mileage used OEM starter. Aftermarket starters sometimes have the wrong pinion gear and grinds against the drive plate.
