I just bought a 05 tl and the car is awesome. I changed all the fluids but did the tranny once. Seen on here to do it 3 times. What else should i do and what is the 3 4 thing to change on the transmission. I got the car for 14000 and still owe 7000 on it and want it to last. Car only has 64000 miles. Please let me know what i should be aware of. I feel like i have a vibration when i start and turn off the car. Thanks

 

Vibration should be normal, you can't expect it to be like a new car with 64k miles on it. The motor mounts are just a little worn, but that is pretty normal. Where did you see to change your tranny fluid 3 times? BTW do you have a 5mt or an auto?

change your spark plugs, change out the tranny fluid 2 more times and change out the 2 transmission switches. you don't have to but it's really good preventative maintenance and might help with the vibration on startup, although that's pretty normal.

 

Ok do you know how much the tranny switches are. And i can use the tranny fluid from acura right? I really love the car its awesome and its in immaculate shape. Thanks any other advise?

 

Some people say that what Acura/Honda recommends for tranny fluid (Z1) isn't good. Redline racing fluid has been recommended by at least several people here. There is tons of info on transmission fuid if you search around.
