Intake Manifold Gasket Question
Hi All,
I am installing a new intake manifold gasket. There appears to be a very small amount of black gasket silicone where the new gasket will go. It is very minimal and I find no trace of it on the bottom of the old gasket. Since this area was accessed by two different shops I can't tell if it was original and scraped off or if it should be there but in a very small amount. Anyone know if this is required or not? I find no mention of it in the shop manual and couldn't find anything here with a search.
Thanks!
