Hey guys...

curious if this is normal at first start and fir a while of maybe I installed wrong...

after installing rv6 pcd and starting the car I'm getting smoke that smells like steaming coolent...I see it coming from the upper sensors..is this right...

at first thought was due to maybe me getting some coolent drops when removing the coolent bottle highly clearly is coming sell the upper sensor...

please tell me this is normal at first start..


if anyone can help...

ps...taking out stock cats is a pain...especially the rear.

 

Yes it's normal, it's from the oils of your hands or any wd-40 or lubricant you may have used. Getting some coolant on there may smell for awhile.

 

Few....thank God ....I don't think I got any coolent on the actual pcd ....maybe around there which then added smell to the smoke or steam...I was getting scared..

another thing I'm noticing is that when I go to turn off the car it makes a funny noise...like pssssshh ....hard to explain but a weird one

 

OOhhh it could be the anti seize stuff I put on the studs of ye 02 sensors...I think that is it...makes sense wrong hiwvthe pcd is super hot

 

if its making any kind of hissing or whistle noise, that indicates an exhaust leak some where.

but only when turning the car off?
I havent had my car for three months, so I forgot what it sounds like when I turn off my car with pcds.

I would go back over the bolts and tighten them down
