I have a 05 tl that will not pass inspection. it sat for a while and my mechanic told me to drive it for a while. I have driven it for more than 3000 miles all in vain. when he connects my car to his machine, he can read partial information from it. any help?

 

check your owner book for a section on prep for smog test ~after battery disconnect

You can usually do a 30 minute drive with specific speeds and actions and that will reset the computer and give ready to test codes
I am guessing the battery went dead while it was parked?
The other thing is Seafoam will clean the internals of the combustion chamber and make for great smog results
