Injectors on 08 TL-S need to be replaced?
The other day my check engine light came on and Navi told me there was an emissions system problem.
Took the car to my dealer the next day, and after lots of checking, they determined that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. I did not notice any performance issues and have always used only Mobil premium gas. They said they have seen the issue in a few cases and think it is fuel mixture/ethanol related.
The parts are on national backorder, which suggests to me I am not the only one with this issue.
Anyone else out there seen this? And what was your experience?
Thanks.

Its totally possible that a defective part was used in the making of the injectors themself.
Since the maker would not only need to correct the ones headed for assembly in cars, as well as make replacement sets for warranty claims...backorder happens.
The gen3 ps recall has backorder parts too
You may not have noticed any issue, other than low gas mileage, but the O2 sensors at each end of the cat compare readings and the computer determines how to adjust or if problem in system.
Ethanol is not good for our cars-the book says not more than 15% (May vary by gen)
It could be eating a seal and cause internal leak or pressure variation in the injectors!!
there are 2 types of gas ~that I am aware of, to the general public~
One has 10+ percent ethanol== Bad for cars, good for BIG FARM - corn~
Note the E85 they are trying convert the usa to= 85% Ethanol!!!!
Using Corn, a FOOD staple....to make gas???? BRILLIANT!!!!!
The other has MTBE, which they sold us as ~the answer to all problems~ some years ago, only to find out its a total hazmat for the Earth in general-----oooooops!
Read the labels at different brand stations and see
