Independent mechanic in RDU

Any recommendations for an independent mechanic in the RDU area to have the brake fluid flushed/replaced?

I called Leith Acura, and they want $98 which I think is too much. Thanks!

That sounds about right for a brake fluid service about an hour labor which is like $98 plus 2 bottles of brake fluid. But the job will actually take a tecnician about 30 minutes at the most to complete, but thats how they make money.

Wow...my dealership charges $69.99 for a brake flush, guess we are on the cheaper side.

I guess no recommendations on mechanics... How hard is it to bleed the brakes myself?

Its not hard at all, jack up the car remove the wheel and find the bleeder valve on the caliper, have a friend sit in the car and push on the pedal to remove the old fluid. pour in the new fluid and pump the break pedal until all the air is out of the break lines. you would have to do this one caliper at a time so it may be wise to just pay the $98 for your troubles.

You may want to get a price from Tao Auto: http://www.taoauto.com/

My wife has been bringing her Accord there for about 2 years. A little bit cheaper that the Honda dealer and she likes the service better. I brought my new TL-S there to have them change the oil and filter, which I supplied, and I think they charged me $14. I would go there again.
