Idle sounds like a pickup?
Idle sounds like a pickup?
Just picked up a TL-S and I'm not sure if it is normal for the engine to sound like a truck when it's idling... I came from a S2000 so I'm not used to sound of v6s. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
lol something is wrong with your car..
unless it was modified, it shouldnt be very audible. there could be a minor tick of the valves, but it shouldnt be LOUD. or sound like a truck...
might have an exhaust leak.

It's such a vague description especially since most pickup trucks sound exactly the same as a car considering they share many engine options. Any additional detail? The plugs loosen up on these cars. It should get worse as you give it throttle though.
My 3/4 ton chevy idled as quite as the TL does LOL,
^ And yes check those plugs. If one is loose its a tapping type noise that gets louder with RPM, if its loose enough the sound should be pretty obvious, which means its not long for this world.
