Terry 05 TL

Has anyone ever replaced the volume control / channel / mode switch in the steering wheel of a 05 TL? My volume control on the steering wheel comes and goes, mainly goes. When I turn the steering wheel my volume goes down, then out and I noticed my channel and mode switches don't work most of the time. I believe the whole switch assembly has a short in it (the volume lower will not click any more).
Step by step pictures or manual instructions would be helpful.

You have to remove the airbag to get to those switches:

You'll need a torx 30 bit to loosen the two airbag screws and they are in there tight because acura puts loctite on the screws.

Also, check the garage, there are service manual scans for airbag removal. BE CAREFULL!!

Thanks for the info. What type of screws hold the switch in place on the steering wheel. Are they on the back of the steering wheel and how many (2)?
