How much $$ to replace seat track?

Recently, the drivers seat began to wobble slightly on my 2004 TL. The bolts are secure, so I know that it is a seat track issue. Has anyone had to replace the seat track assembly, and if so, how much were you charged?

This seems to be a big problem with hondas. My dads 98 accord, my sisters 00 accord and my uncles 00 odyssey all had that problem. The dealer charges a rediculous amount. It was about 700 plus dollars to fix at the dealer. So we took it to a friend and he fixed it for much less.

If all that is involved is unbolting the tracks of the seats, and pulling the seast out of the car to fix the tracks - then do it yourself. It is extremly easy to remove the seats in our TL's, im talking front start to finish, you could have the seat of the car in 5 minutes. Hardest part is unscrewing the seat belt bolt becuase of its location.

I stopped by my Acura dealer. My service guy sat in the seat and told me that (without getting in there and looking at it) he was 90% sure that the track was the problem and it would need to be replaced. He told me the assembly would cost north of $300 and it would take several hours of labor to do the job.
Have any of you guys replaced the entire assembly? I have looked online and found a few for $250-$300. I would love some advice as to whether I could do this myself.

From: is everything.
All just nuts and bolts... just disconnect the battery before doing it to prevent anything weird from happening when you unplug the harnesses. Undo the main bolts into the floor before disconnecting of course as you will probably need to move the seat forward/backward to get to them.

I had the same thing but it was replaced under warrantee. It is very irritating because it makes the car feel flimsy and you notice it every time you drive the car. I hope Acura engineers read this site. Problems like this are not what you expect from Honda/Acura.

I explained it as driving in a 3 legged chair.
Update: My first quote was from an independent mechanic who specializes in Hondas and Acuras. $1050. Jeesh!

I am having Acura take a look and give me a quote on Monday. I am still thinking about doing this myself. Does anyone have the installation instructions for the seat and track assembly? I looked and could not find it.
