Question How to mount front plate on TL?

Just got my 08 Type S and have to mount the front plate bracket, I purchased all the parts from Acura and just wanted to confirm install before causing possible damage to car unnecessarily.

In looking through some past threads it looks like I should not drill the two holes out correct? From the parts fiche it looks like there are two caps that should pop out (I tried but failed to get them out) any help would be
appreciated. TIA

yes you dont have to drill the two holes. there should be two caps you pop off and the holes (usually) are pre-drilled. what you can do is look from underneath the front bumper and you should see where the two holes go.

Yes, I see where the two holes are but I can't seem to pop off the plastic covers. What is the best tool to use, small screw driver doesn't seem to work.

a small screwdriver is your best bet, just pry it in.

cover the screw driver with a towel so you dont damage the paint. u can also try pressing on the bottom of them with your finger to push the top outwards

Well, I managed to get both out with minimal damage to both bumper cover and clip (except when the screw driver slipped, at least it will be behind the plate cover). Looking at the design I think if you were to reach your hand in behind the bumper you could press the clips together and push it out with no damage.....Thanks for all the help!
