How to install spark plugs?

I have a 06 TL with 100,000kms on it. I doubt the spark plugs have ever been changed. I get 12L per 100kms, which blows. I want better fuel economy so I thought changing the spark would help.

I can't find a how to on installing spark plugs on this car, and I am wondering how to do it, and which ones would really be the best for increasing gas mileage and performance?

Help me out dudes!

NGK laser iridiums.. new plugs aren't the issue unless you're having misfires / running rich.

Pretty easy to r&r the plugs. The only PITA is the rear bank but you just have to remove the strut tower to make it easier. At 100kms your plugs should still be okay but it's not a terrible idea to replace them now.

So is my gas mileage of 12L per 100kms normal? I gettiting like 250kms on half a tank and a little over 400 on a full tank.

12L / 100kms is a bit low unless you drive mostly stop & go city or drive real hard. 400 -500kms a tank is average.. when was the last time you reset your gauge?

I suggest keeping your tires at 80% their max rating.. I believe the minimum Acura suggest having your tire pressure at is 32 psi / 220 kpa(s), I keep my tires around 40 psi / 275 kpa(s). Having your tires properly inflated will probably do more for your gas mileage in the interim.

so I should pump them to 40 psi? even if their snow tires?

So 12L P 100KMS is bad? what could the prob be then??

I think my TPMS is messed up its reading all weird...I will have to take a look at it.

In the snow you still want them properly inflated but I would go 70% max psi rating of the tire.. so if the max rating on your tire is 45 psi, then keep them at 32. You can find the max rating printed on the tire. This would be 220 KPA as stated. By running a lower psi you ensure a larger footprint, but don't run them underinflated.

12L/100kms is roughly 20mpg, it's not great but it's not terrible, what's your average speed?. There have been several members who have stated the same obs fuel efficiency. Just keep your tires properly inflated and your intake filter clean. You can run some seafoam or b12 through the tank to clean out the injectors. It may help a little. Make sure you only run premium petro.. the higher octane the better.
