How to improve gas mileage?

I have a 06 TL, and this thing is not the greatest on gas. I am wondering different ways (other than changing driving habits as I don't drive hard) to improve gas mileage? spark plugs? something like that? Let me know yall....thanks!

Make sure your tires are inflated properly. Perhaps add a little more than recommended. Good clean air filter also helps. How many miles on your TL?

Tire pressure: Set 3-5lbs higher than stock (ok, 6-10kg for u metric fans), biggest results when highway driving.
Weight: Take out all the shit you don't need in the trunk. Some have even gone so far as to remove the spare tire and jack.
Filters: (as mentioned).
Seafoam the intake to remove buildup: Search 3G Garage for more info.
Fluids: Make sure your tranny fluid is not burned and discolored; Change oil regularly; Premium gas only.

1. Use premium Fuel
2. Check tire pressures, run about 35 PSI all around
3. Put some seafoam in your gas tank and it'll help clean out the motor from years of carbon build-up.
4. Be sure that your new filter is on securely and isn't leaking in any air.

Have you tried coasting when going down a big hill in a high gear? On my way to school I have quite a few big hills that I put my car in 5th and just coast down. I get 22-23 mpg 100% city driving.

Airfilter has no impact on mpg.

Driving style has the most impact.

The TL doesn't get great city mileage but very good highway mileage. With my heavy subs and wider than stock tires I get about 15mpg with a very relaxed driving style. Part of this is like I said, the weight and a lot of it is due to the fact that the redlights are horribly timed around here.

However, out on the freeway, 32mpg is normal.

Premium fuel is one of the most important factors. I've had the best luck and least pinging on Chevron over all of the other big brands.

Plugs won't hurt. May not help.

Divide your KPa by 6.895 and you will have your psi. So 35 psi = 241kpa approx. I am getting about 12L per 100 km as well. Thats about 19-20 mpg, i am just in town though, 10 km to work and then home. If i am on the hwy like others have said it is much better.
