Unhappy Hit a curb...damn man.....

I was driving this morning and it was a fresh snowfall here. I slid into a curb pretty hard with the front tire.

Right away i knew something was messed up as the steering wheel was crooked. I drove another half a mile to work and parked it.

I thought i would just be able to get a wheel alignment done to correct it. I did that right after work but the car is still pulling. The mechanic said that we may have to replace the spindle.

Does anyone know where i should be able to find an inexpensive one?

Also, after driving i noticed that the steering wheel is really loose. If i am making a slight turn, I have to turn the steering almost all the way around. It wasn't like that before. It was much firmer and did not require the steering wheel to make such a motion for such a relatively little turn. I dont know if you can make sense of that.. but hope so.. What do you think the problem here is, and how could i go about fixing it?

I'd also like to thank you in advance for any opinions or advice you could provide.

thanks

When the alignment was done, they should have been able to detect what part needed replacement when taking their readings, but if it was a hard hit, any part in the suspension could have been compromised, from the lower control arm, knuckle, tie rod, axle, etc. Also check for a bent wheel.
Take it to someone else that knows what they are doing, rather than just throwing replacement parts on the car. If it's substantial damage, and costly, you can always go through your insurance if you have collision coverage. If not get what is needed then do the replacement of the part(s) then have it aligned.
