HID Fogs

I just purchased a set of HID3000k fogs for my type s. i installed the front left first, test them and they worked, then the front right and they worked. Went out for a little bit came back and the fogs were not working any more i checked the fuse and it was blown and now only the front right works. I noticed that in the fuse box it FR FOG for the fuse i was wondering if the front left was on a separate fuse than that other.

Any suggestions?

Is there an inline fuse or something i dont know about with HIDs or the wiring of the fogs

Both lights run on the same fuse and it's rated a 10A. Step it up to a 15A and you'll be fine.

Are you using a relay harness? If not, go spend the $20 for one and wire them up through the harness. Stepping your fuse up to 15A is not best practice with electricity. The puny OEM wires cannot handle that load which is why the fuse is blowing.

^^+1 had the same issue. 3k's worked for a little bit and blew the fuse. Then tried running a little bigger fuse which is stupid and dangerous and that didn't work.so went with the relay harness and that fixed the issue.

i had the same issue... my fuse blew out and stepped it up to 15a... also, a harness will make the fogs brighter than the 15a could...
