I have an 08 TL and I'm going to switch my foglights over to the HID's with the H8 bulb. My budy has an 05 TL and wants to do the same thing in the headlight houseing fogs. He had everything hooked up and they didn't work. Unplugged one and plugged the regular bulb in and the regular bulb worked. He hooked the HID's directly to the battery and they worked fine. Why won't they come one when hooked up. Someone mentioned that Acura has a reversed polarity for the wiring in the fog lights. Is that true. Just curious so we can get them to work.

 

i had this same problem on my wifes 05 corolla. all i had to do was flip around the plug on the ballast.

i ran texon 8500K hid on my 08 tl-s. simple plug and play, and each ballast came with a relay. plug the blue ignitor wire, into the blue wire socket on the OEM harness, and the same with the black wire.... piece of cake, no flickers or problems

Are these the ones you bought for the fog lights? How do they match up to the Xenon lights? Do they both look the same when it comes to color?
